How I can enhance the enjoyment of your visit and help you make the most of your time in the Heart of England?
Learn more about the history and culture, the forces that have shaped our countryside as well as modern developments.
Town and City Guided Walks
The only way to see some of our towns and cities is on foot. See amazing architecture, learn about famous faces.
Enjoy a guided walk around Coventry with its medieval past and 21st century future; or Birmingham, England's 2nd city and "City of a Thousand Trades". See at first hand the perpendicular splendour of Gloucester Cathedral and the dreaming spires of Oxford. Go inside some of the half-timbered buildings, such as those of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon.
An informed commentary can really enhance a coach trip so that the journey becomes part of the experience rather than just a means of getting from A to B.
As well as identifying what can be seen from the coach window, I can give you background information about the people past and present who have lived in or visited the Heart of England. As we drive past we can identify film & TV locations and link the places we travel through to a theme if required.
I can also help with planning the all important refreshment stops and comfort breaks as well as those opportunities for shopping.
Walk between charming Cotswold villages, beside curving canals and rippling rivers. Learn how man's activies have shaped our green and pleasant land.
There is still a great deal of England which is very rural and best visited on foot. Let me guide you through not only some of the tourist hotspots such as Chipping Camden, but also lesser known places, rural Herefordshire with its cider making heritage for example, or explore the fascinating geology of the Shropshire Hills.
Routes can be planned of varying distances and difficulty. Contact me to discuss your requirements.
